i watched the movie "beauty and beast"this vacation.it's romantic love story.bell is a very kind and beastuiful girl, living with her father in a small town, and the prince is a selfish guy trapped in a beast's body for his rudeness angering the enchantress.the beast has to find a person willing to fall in love with him.then,in a occation,it met bell and gradually fould out that bell is a lovely girl and begin to fall in love with her, so it went to any length to help her.bell was finally moved and fell in love with it and the prince escaped from the beast's body and led a happy life for ever.

love is the topic of the whole story which can change any dark and evil stuff.love means everything, and this is the reason the movie can get into the gate of oscar.the real world is full of war and darkness, which turns people's life in to chaos.human's life lacks of love, and if the love exists, humen have the power and the dream and the ideal "man can conquer nature"will no longer be a myth.

love, the topic of humanbeings' life.

oliver twist, one of the most famous works of charles dickens’, is a novelreflecting the tragic fact of the life in britain in 18th century.

the author who himself was born in a poor family wrote this novel in histwenties with a view to reveal the ugly masks of those cruel criminals and toexpose the horror and violence hidden underneath the narrow and dirty streets inlondon.

the hero of this novel was oliver twist, an orphan, who was thrown into aworld full of poverty and crime. he suffered enormous pain, such as hunger, thirst, beating and abuse. while reading the tragic experiences of the littleoliver, i was shocked by his sufferings. i felt for the poor boy, but at thesame time i detested the evil fagin and the brutal bill. to my relief, as waswritten in all the best stories, the goodness eventually conquered devil andoliver lived a happy life in the end. one of the plots that attracted me most isthat after the theft, little oliver was allowed to recover in the kind care ofmrs. maylie and rose and began a new life. he went for walks with them, or roseread to him, and he worked hard at his lessons. he felt as if he had left behindforever the world of crime and hardship and poverty.

how can such a little boy who had already suffered oppressive afflictionremain pure in body and mind? the reason is the nature of goodness. i think itis the most important information implied in the novel by dickens-he believedthat goodness could conquer every difficulty. although i don’t think goodness isomnipotent, yet i do believe that those who are kind-hearted live more happilythan those who are evil-minded.

for me, the nature of goodness is one of the most necessary character for aperson. goodness is to humans what water is to fish. he who is without goodnessis an utterly worthless person. on the contrary, as the famous saying goes, ‘thefragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose’, he who is with goodnessundoubtedly is a happy and useful person. people receiving his help are gratefulto him and he also gets gratified from what he has done, and thus he can do goodto both the people he has helped and himself.

to my disappointment, nowadays some people seem to doubt the existence ofthe goodness in humanity. they look down on people’s honesty and kindness, thinking it foolish of people to be warm-hearted. as a result, they show nosympathy to those who are in trouble and seldom offer to help others. on theother hand, they attach importance to money and benefit. in their opinion, moneyis the only real object while emotions and morality are nihility. if they cannotget profit from showing their ‘kindness’, they draw back when others are facedwith trouble and even hit a man when he is down. they are one of the sorts thati really detest.

francis bacon said in his essay, ‘goodness, of all virtues and dignities ofthe mind, is the greatest, being the character of the deity, and without it, manis a busy, mischievous, wretched thing, no better than a kind of vermin.’

that is to say a person without goodness is destined to lose everything.therefore, i, a kind person, want to tell those ‘vermin-to-be’ to learn from thekind oliver and regain the nature of goodness.

(一)学生求学必须具有科学的精神;

" gone with the wind is absolutely a good book that is worth sampling repeatedly, the characters are graceful , the plot rises and falls, exciting boldly and unconstrainedly, though the subjective factor because of the author among them , the appraisal on u.s.a.s civil war is not objective and overall, but as to angle of literature, this one fine piece of writing generation definitely absolutely, worth visiting.

title: the little prince

author: antoine de st-exupery

main characters: the little prince, the pilot, the rose, the fox, the snake, etc.

despite i’ve not in my childhood yet, i still prefer reading fairy-tale stories. the tales, which accompany with me in my old days, often make me think of some precious experience and sensation which only belong to children. this summer i’ve review this kind of tale, which was published in 1940. it’s the world-famous fairy-tale by the french author, antoine de st-exupery, the little prince.

as many other fairy-tales, the outline of the little prince is not very complex. “i”, the narrator of the story, is a pilot whose plane has something wrong and lands in the sahara. in this occasion, the pilot makes the acquaintance of the little prince, a little boy from another planet, the asteroid b612. the little prince has escaped from his tiny planet, because he has some quarrel with a rose, which grows on his planet. in that case he left his own planet and took an exploration at some neighbor asteroids.

on his all-alone journey, the little prince meets different kinds of people, which includes a king, a conceited man, a tippler, a businessman, a lamplighter and a geographer. from these people he gets a conclusion that the grown-ups are very odd. following the instruction of the geographer, he descends in the sahara, on the earth.

it is known to the entire world that little women by louisa may alcott is one of the representatives of feminist works. this paper analyzes feminism embodied in josephine’s view on love in little women. in the introduction of the paper, i will talk about the background, literature review and my writing perspective. as for the body part, in chapter one i will analyze josephine’s character from many examples in the story; in chapter two i will give a comprehensive analysis of josephine’s view on love, which mainly covers the love choice she made and the reasons of the choice; in chapter three, i will analyze feminism reflected form josephine, including the aspiration for freedom, the desire for independence, and the worship of true love. in chapter four, i will discuss the enlightments and limitations of josephine’s feminism in modern times. at last in the conclusion, i will give a brief summary of this paper.

even if having the small flaws, little women is still an undoubtedly great work. it put eyes on women’s growth, fights and efforts to realize the value of life in a patriarchal society. even in today, it still has realistic values for modern girls to learn.

through the daily lives of march sisters, louisa drew a vivid picture of the life of temporal american pioneers, especially jo. she impressed us by her goodness, honesty, insistence…and her precipitancy, rebellion… she’s like a close friend to us, and as well an inner spirit of us.

in order to get closer to this work, i’ve talked about the social background at that time, louisa’s family history, literature review and the definition of feminism; and then to figure out the reasons of jo’s choice, i’ve analyzed jo’s personality, the process of jo’s choice and the reasons of it, so i not only had a clearer impression of jo, but also got a deeper understanding of her choice; at last in order to learn the feminist spirits from jo, i discussed some extraordinary feminist qualities of jo and got some constructive tips and suggestions about feminism for all the girls.

after finishing this work which is definitely a masterpiece in history, i’ve learned the importance of freedom, both physically and spiritually, without it, i think i even can’t live well; and also i’ve known the value of independence, there’s no one can accompany and help me forever, so being independent can make me live better and feed myself just on my own; last but not the least, i’ve also been reminded with the preciousness of true love which makes people truly happy from the bottom from the hearts.

reading little women can be an enjoyable thing, to seek the peace in the blatant, and to seek an aim in the hesitation. we can learn so much from this book. over a century passing by, the glory of this book doesn’t vanish, instead it becomes more excellent, and it connects people generation by generation.

the novel is rich in poetry, symbolism and metaphor. it does not fit easily into a definite pattern, being neither a novel of "manners" in the tradition of austen, or a straightforward gothic romance in the style of mrs radcliffe. what charlotte bronte did was to create a work which cleverly blends elements of the two styles, and which remains uniquely independent of them at the same time, since it addresses issues which were at the time rather controversial.

the novel is written in the first person, and thus magnifies the central character - the reader enters the world of jane eyre and is transported through her experiences at first hand. this at once makes the work subjective, especially since we know that charlottes brontes own life and experiences were so closely interwoven with the heroines. as well as this we learn only at the end of the novel that the events are being related to us ten years after the reconciliation with rochester - thus the narrative is retrospective (looking back). cb is clever in blending the narrative so that at times jane seems to be speaking as an adult with adult hindsight , while at others she she is "in the middle" of them, as a child or young woman. the indecision which is a central issue in the book, is heightened by this device. we never know, as readers, whether to be entirely trustful of janes actions and thoughts, because we are never sure wheher she is speaking impulsively or maturely.

this intensifies the readers dilemma as to what is "right" and "wrong" in the dramatic relationships which are part of jes life. can we believe what the heroine says, or is she deceiving herself? the novel is primarily a love story and a "romance" where wishes come true but only after trials and suffering. the supernatural has its place, as do dreams, portents and prophesies. the heroine begins poor and lonely and ends up rich and loved; the orphan finds a good family to replace the wicked one; all the basic ingredients of classic romantic fairytale are present.

the romantic element is present in two forms in jane eyre; the "family" aspect is dealt with in the gateshead, lowood and moor house episodes, which involve the exchanging of the wicked reed family for the benevolent rivers one; and the love romance is dealt with in the thornfield and ferndean episodes. both aspects are, of course linked and interwoven throughout the novel.
